Jazzin’ It Up at The Park for Sisters Academy

FIND YOUR FEDORA!  PUT ON YOUR BAUBLES!  CRANK UP THE ROADSTER!

Join us for an evening of syncopated rhythms recalling Baltimore's famous jazz heritage, legendary stars, and rich cultural legacy.  Don your "out on the town" best and prepare to travel time as Sisters Academy pays homage to Jazz's Golden Age with hot jazz music, nonstop dancing, and delicious cuisine and liquid libations.

Tune in and turn out for a Saturday night of musical talent, steppin' out dancing, and top entertainment as today's Baltimore artists turn up the excitement and put out the sounds!  Step back in time as you enjoy the sounds of local musicians, led by international recording artist, Craig Alston.  The playlist will be upbeat, entertaining, and will move folks to the dance floor.

Follow America's living art form as you travel the circuit of yesteryear on a culinary tour of America's great jazz cities and their regional specialties.

Test, titillate, and refine your palate when you sample the spirited offerings of Whiskey Row - a tasting bar with a nominal fee  to sip special blends including Sagamore Rye.

Or, join the high rollers in the Back Room (secret code access) for a dance with lady luck and her games of chance.  There will be excellent prizes for lucky winners.

Back by popular will be Wish Upon a Star and the Spirits Grab.

Mid-evening Sisters Academy will honor Baltimore's own living legend, Ethel Ennis, with their Shining Star Award - recognizing her not only for her international acclaim as a jazz musician, but also for her inspirational attitude and commitment towards social justice work.

Join us early for a special pre-event VIP reception presented by Sagamore Spirit for the benefit of our top-level sponsors.   Also invited to the pre-event are our Honorary Committee and the Sisters Academy of Baltimore board members.  It will take place from 6 to 7 pm in the Historic Lobby of Montgomery Park.  The pre-event will feature live music, passed hors d'oeuvres, and a signature drink.

It's going to be a night of pure ballyhoo, smokin' sounds, fabulous food, rolling dice, and can't-stop-dancin' music -  in Baltimore where the Jazz Age and its memorable stars created innovative sound and musical history.  Join us and help us raise funds to sustain our commitment to educating girls from southwest Baltimore.

A pos-i-lute-ly, supermurgitroid, paint-the-town-red night!
