Thirteen young ladies from the Class of 2019 graduated from Sisters Academy of Baltimore on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at a ceremony at the Marikle Chapel on the campus of Notre Dame of Maryland University.

The commencement address was delivered by Ms. Uneeke Ferguson, a member of the Class of 2009, the second graduating class. Uneeke graduated from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2017. She currently teaches second grade at Frederick Elementary School in West Baltimore. Uneeke noted that ten years ago, she was sitting in the front pew ready and excited to become a graduate of Sisters Academy. “I have walked in your shoes and sat right where you are now. With my SAB foundation, my education was not just about the academic subjects; it made me grow as an individual. I now understand how my SAB education is so deeply rooted in my soul. When you take your first steps into high school, know that you are set for a successful future. Trust the process! Listen to the whispers of God, look for God within yourself, and most of all laugh, cry, have fun, and continue to learn. Once you realize all the blessings from your SAB education, come back and tell others.”
